App Platform

PaaS application lifecycle

Deploy workloads, edit environment variables, release versions, roll back, open terminals and inspect logs.

Deployment engines

PaaS targets Docker host agents and the Kubernetes Operator. Compose is validated against a restricted subset; arbitrary shell flags and host mounts are not accepted.

Resources and replicas

Choose CPU, RAM and ephemeral limits. Multi-replica workloads require Kubernetes; Docker hosts currently support one replica. Docker ephemeral configuration is not a full writable-layer quota.

Environment and releases

Edit KEY=VALUE environment entries and image references under Releases. Unspecified variables stay unchanged. Existing secret values are withheld from normal API responses. Releases and rollbacks enqueue observable operations.

Terminal and logs

A limited session allows Docker container shell access for authorized administrators. Kubernetes Pod Exec is not yet available. Log Explorer displays recent host-agent snapshots; distributed tracing requires application instrumentation.

Stopping and deleting

Start/Stop/Remove are tracked operations. Named volumes are intentionally not deleted as an implicit side effect. Take backups before destructive actions.
